Dr. Ali earned his B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Engineering from the Department of Computer Engineering, AMU, Aligarh and his PhD from the Department of Computer Science, Loughborough University, UK. Dr. Ali was nominated by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, for the Commonwealth Scholarship to pursue PhD from the UK. He was also offered a research studentship by the Department of Computer Science, Loughborough University, U.K. His research interests include image and video coding, multimedia information security, data forensics social aspects of digital technology. He has also recently started to take active interest in the area of Systems Engineering, particularly System-of-Systems. He also previously acted as the co-ordinator of the M.Tech. programme, M.Tech. Tabulator and Co-ordinator of TEQIP-II within the Department.
