Dr. Siddhartha Chakraborti

Siddhartha Chakraborti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, AMU, Aligarh, India. He has done his BA (Hons) from Presidency College Kolkata (2008), and was the topper in his MA (2010, JNU, New Delhi). His PhD was on Decolonization in the Indian Context (JNU, 2017). He has been funded by the UGC SAP (JNU), the UKIERI (Bangor-West Virginia-JNU), Michigan State University and the DAAD (Tubingen). He has over 5 years teaching experience in JNU, DU and NMIMS. He has ten publications and has presented in more than 30 conferences in three continents. He has helped organize over 30 seminars, 4 workshops and 6 international conferences with various bodies, most recently as the coordinator of the prestigious IACLALS conference in Aligarh. He has helped designed 10 new courses in AMU, including on Digital Literatures at the BA and MA levels. He is the Secretary of the award-winning Aligarh Chapter of the ELTAI. He  has recently bagged a GIAN project at AMU, in the area of Digital Literatures with the University of Norway. He is also an Assistant Coordinator at IGNOU, Aligarh, besides being the Fulbright Campus Representative for AMU. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and computer games.
