DR. MOHD ASIF HASAN, is working as Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at University Polytechnic, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. 

He obtained his PhD in the field of "Industrial and Production Engineering" as a specialization of the field of Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his PhD on the topic of Agile Manufacturing in the year 2008 while working on the topic jointly at Aligarh Muslim University (India) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi (India). 

He has ample exposure of industries and a vast teaching & research experience of more than twenty-six years. He taught many courses of Mechanical Engineering at diploma, under-graduate and post-graduate levels besides supervising many student's projects and dissertations. He has also authored several research papers for national and international conferences as well as international journals of repute besides some e-books / book chapters. He has also co-published a few copyright and patents.

He is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India) and Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has also qualified for Lead Auditor from International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA), U.K. for auditing the various industries aspiring for ISO 9001: 2008 certification. 

His research interests include: Industrial Engineering,  Agile Manufacturing,  Flexible Manufacturing Systems,  Automation,  CNC Machines,  Decision Making, Optimization, Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Sustainability in Manufacturing (Green Manufacturing),  and some interdisciplinary research domains of Industrial and Production Engineering.
