COMPARATIVE STUDIES

  • In linguistics, the comparative method is a technique for studying the development and growth of languages.
  • CCSILC aspires to Study the linguistic and communicative idiosyncrasies of Indian languages such as; *  Dravadian, *Tribal, * Endangered and *Indo Aryan, Austro Asiatic   Languages

 TRANSLATION STUDIES

     CCSILC has a broad mission in Translation Studies:

  • Supporting the scholarly analysis and creation of translations
  • Collaborating with writers, and scholars.
  • Enhancing the visibility of the translator as a mediator between cultures.
  • Developing innovative translation workshop pedagogy
  • Publishing the international journal  of Translation Review
  • Establishing a translation forum at AMU 

 STUDIES IN FOLK TRADITION

  • India is a land of innumerable culture and folk traditions. In the earlier days folk theatres like Tamasha and Nautanki  and other folk forms were used to convey an important message
  • CCSILC endeavors to make semiotic study to explore the various forms of folk culture that exists in the country
