Dr. Aiman Ahmad joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University in January 2015. Dr. Ahmad did Ph.D in Organic Chemistry (Synthesis and Studies involving Heterocycles in Selected Fatty Acids) from Department of Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University in the year 2014. She has qualified JRF-NET (CSIR) examination with All India Rank 071 in 2011. She did M. Sc. in Chemistry in the year 2009 with 2nd Position and B. Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry in the year 2007 with 3rd Position from Aligarh Muslim University. She got various fellowships and academic excellence certificate at different levels such as CSIR-SRF (NET), CSIR-JRF (NET), University Merit Scholarship, Bharat Seva Trust Scholarship, Certificate of Merit, etc. Her main area of interest is synthesis and characterization of novel biologically active heterocyclic compounds. She has read number of research papers in various national and international conferences/symposia/workshops. She has published research papers in international journals of repute like European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry Research, Journal of Saudi Chemical Society, Arabian Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, Separation and Purification Technology, Acta Cryst E, Food and Nutrition Sciences, etc.
