Dr Yasser Azim was appointed in August 2009 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry in Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He has teaching experience of about 12 years which includes 12 years of U.G. and 8 Years of P.G. teaching. He had held several positions in the various academic and administrative capacities in the University viz., Elected Member in Academic Council from the Assistant Professor category from 2013-2015, Member of Faculty of Engineering & Technology from Assistant Professor category from 2009-2010 and 2017-2018, Member of Disciplinary Committee of Z.H. College of Engineering & Technology, Warden of Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall in 2014-2015 etc. Presently, additional administrative responsibilities apart from teaching and research viz., Departmental Training & Placement Officer and Departmental Coordinator of TEQIP programme, Coordinator NBA programme, etc. Dr Azim has published around 30 research papers, guided 24 P.G. dissertations and 1 PhD has been awarded under his supervision. Research papers are published in various international repute journals viz. Crystal Growth & Design,  Crystal Engineering Communications,  Journal of Molecular Liquids, Journal of Pharmaceutical Science, Journal of Polymers and Environment, Journal of Molecular Structure, Polyhedron, Transition Metal Chemistry, Current Science, etc. His research is mainly focused on Crystal Engineering, Hydrogels, Supramolecular Chemistry Inorganic Chemistry and Advanced Functional Materials.
