Dr. Mohammad Sohrab graduated in Civil Engineering from AMU Aligarh in 1983. He obtained  M. Sc. Engineering in Hydraulics structures and was awarded a university medal for standing first at examinations in 1985. And completed his Ph. D. in 1999 From the University of Roorkee, Roorkee (presently IIT  Roorkee). He is working as an Associate Professor and his area of interest includes Hydraulics, Water pollution, and General Civil Engineering. He has taught various courses at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels such as Hydrology, Building Construction, Estimating & Costing, Irrigation Engineering, Fluid Mechanics and Technical Drawing, etc. He is a life member of The Indian Society For Technical Education (ISTE) and has been elected as a Fellow of The Institute Of Engineers (India). He has authored technical papers in the International and National journals/ Conferences viz. Journal of Environmental Engineering ASCE Institute, journal of  Civil engineering Divin, Institute of Engineers (India). He has received Best Polytechnic’s Teacher award in 2003 by the ISTE. He is currently Head-in-charge of Architecture section, Polytechnic since 2013 and Member-in-charge of the Gas Agency since September 2020.
