Ar. Sanjeev Maheshwari, a product of Govt. College of Architecture, Lucknow is a first batch graduate of Lucknow University. He served his Alma Mater as a Lecturer after a brief stint with UPRNN as an Assistant Architect. He got an opportunity of working with Swedish theatre expert Per Edstrom on variable theatre following an International Workshop on Theatre Design. He has worked as a research/study associate with noted academician Prof. D.C. Thapar on Urban Conservation Studies of INTACH identified heritage zone of Hussianabad at Lucknow. He served U.P. Housing & Development Board as an Assistant Architect-Planner and was sponsored to attend a workshop on Settlement Design at Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI) under Indo-Dutch technical assistance. He became Assistant Professor at C. R. State College of Engineering at Murthal (Haryana), now a university DCRUST. He is a life member of ISTE and has been awarded fellow membership of the IIA. He has authored a number of papers in reputed journals like A+D (Architecture + Design), American Journal of Civil Engineering and Architecture, JIIA etc. and published a book "Ancient Indian Architecture - from Blossom to Bloom" which has received excellent reviews in IIA journal, A+D and Hindustan Times. Presently he is serving AMU as an Associate Professor and has completed three terms as Chairman in its Department of Architecture in the Zakir Hussain College of Engineering & Technology.
He has been appointed and invited for UGC Expert Committees’ visits (both actual and virtual) as a subject expert to more than a dozen deemed universities & private universities across the country on the recommendations of AICTE. UGC has appointed him as Fellowship and Research Grant reviewer for its various prestigious fellowships at Doctoral and Post-Doctoral level. He has been appointed as chairman of the Projects Reviewing Committee of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University Aligarh by its Vice-Chancellor. He has been entrusted with the task of inspecting private Engineering Colleges and Universities at Kolkata, Mathura and Greater Noida as member of EVC of AICTE and inspection committee of MTU. He has served, as an Expert member, on the selection committees of Public Service Commissions of the states of UP, UK, J&K, Rajasthan and also select institutions like Birla Institute of Technology Ranchi, Central University of Rajasthan Ajmer, Dayalbagh Educational Institute Agra, Galgotias University Greater Noida and Mangalayatan University Aligarh apart from that on the selection committee(s) of the host institutions as VC’s nominee. He has been appointed as Thesis Guide for final examination by The Indian Institute of Architects. He has inspected RIMT Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mandi Govindgarh as member of Council of Architecture appointed expert committee. Council of Architecture has appointed him as an observer to several NATA centers. He has undertaken academic audit of Sharda University at Greater Noida, as subject expert. Invited to be an honoured guest and speaker at the plenary session of Annual International Women Economic Forum (WEF 2018) on 1 May. 2018 he stood nominated for felicitation of prestigious WEF ‘18 award of “Leaders of the Decade in Academia”*
He has been on the Board of Studies of several premier institutions like SPA Bhopal, Galgotia University Greater Noida, SMVD University Katra, apart from host affiliate universities like Lucknow University, MDU Rohtak and A.M.U. Aligarh that he has served. Awarded and completed Techno-financial evaluation of the projects “Handicraft Promotion Centre” and “Bareilly Haat” both at Bareilly under GOI/ UP Smart City Mission as member of the team constituted by vetting institute AMU Aligarh.
