Dr. Mohd Sajid Khan has received his M.Sc. (2002) degree in Biotechnology from Pondicherry Central University, India. He completed his Ph.D. (2009) in Biotechnology from National Chemical Laboratory (NCL- CSIR), India. He then joined Integral University as an Assistant Professor and subsequently became Associate Professor. He has been awarded as a Young Scientist in the field of Medical Nanotechnology by Council of Science & Technology, U.P. (2011) and got Best Business Plan presentation award in “Technology Entrepreneurship” hosted by CSIR (25 Days), Govt. of India, and conducted by IIMB, India (2005). He is the life member of the Society of Biological Chemists, IISc Bangalore, India and Society of Free Radical Research, India.
Research Interest: Dr. Mohd Sajid Khan worked on natural and synthetic serine/cysteine/aspartic protease inhibitors, their inhibition kinetics and thermodynamics. He has also been involved in the synthesis of desired sized inorganic (such as gold, silver, selenium, and zinc) nanoparticles using different anticancer enzymes/proteins to use them as drug delivery systems to deliver FDA approved anticancer drugs such as Methotrexate, Cisplatin, Doxorubicin, and many more to different types of cancer cells. Further, these delivery systems are modified as theranostics. He has also been involved in the designing of anti-diabetic tri-peptides.
