Dr. Hiba Sami is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, J.N.M.C., A.M.U., Aligarh.  She is actively involved in post graduate and undergraduate teaching learning activities. Her field of interest are Virology, COVID-19, and Hospital Acquired Infections.  She has won the PROF ASHA MATHUR BEST POSTER IN VIROLOGY in UP MICROCON 2016.She underwent molecular training in virology at “INSTITUTE OF LIVER AND BILIARY SCIENCES, NEW DELHI”. She was the mentor of STS project of MBBS student sanctioned by ICMR. Currently she is the PI of a ICMR funded project on Brucellosis and Co-PI of ICMR funded Project On HIV-HBV co-infection. She edited books titled “Viral and Fungal Infections of the Central Nervous System: A Microbiological Perspective" and “Beta-lactam Resistance in Gram-Negative Bacteria: Threats and Challenges” published by Springer Nature. She has many research publications in International and National Journals to her credit namely Antibiotics, Advances in Virology, Frontiers in Microbiology, Urology Annals, Journal of Laboratory Physicians, Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology, New Zealand Journal of Medical Laboratory Science, CHRISMED Journal of Health and Research. Dr. Hiba Sami completed her M.B.B.S from JNMC., A.M.U and MD in Microbiology from the same institution.
