I made my debut in the department as scientists pool, selected through CSIR, New Delhi in June 1989 for a period of 3 years and currently working as PROFESSOR since Jan 2009. I started infectious disease clinic in the year 1996 mainly focusing on childhood tuberculosis. It was soon expanded to include pulmonology as well. I have a passion to work especially for the poor section of society. Through the Pulmonology and ID clinic (PPIDC), 74 tuberculosis and 115 asthma patients have been registered in the current year. We organize free health check-up camps, slum visits and school visits throughout the year and on special occasions like WORLD TB DAY and WORLD ASTHMA DAY through this clinic. Books, pamphlets, newspaper, write-ups and blogs (farzanabeigppid) are used for creating health awareness in public. I was also associated with the university administration as provost S. N. Hall (2009) and Dy. Medical superintendent (2008) additional charge. RESEARCH INTEREST: Pediatric Infectious Diseases , Pulmonology And Social Pediatrics. FOCUS AREAS: Typhoid (Enteric Fever), Tuberculosis, Bronchial Asthma. TEACHING INTEREST: Pediatric Infectious Diseases And Respiratory Problems.
