Passed MBBS 1977, and MD (Pathology) 1981, from MLN Medical College, University of Allahabad, with teaching experience as Demonstrator. Worked as Demonstrator and Lecturer Forensic Medicine (1982-83), and then as Lecturer Pathology at JNMC, AMU. Became Reader in Pathology in the year 1997 and Professor Pathology from 2005. Served as Chairman Pathology JNMC AMU from 2007 to 2010 (3 years), Member Academic Council 2007 to 2010 and Member University Court 2009-2010. Research interest/focus related to Histopathology and Pathogenesis of Microbe induced inflammatory cancers in human beings. Research communications and contributions were published in reputed journals, Histopathology (Wiley Blackwell), Experimental Pathology (Germany), Journal of Infectious Diseases (USA), BMJ Case Report (UK), Environmental Toxicology (Wiley), Journal of Cytology & Histology, Acta Orthopaedica, and reputed Medknow and Indian journals. Mostly PubMed communications, one in IJPM was listed for Benjamin Franklin Award (USA), and one in BMJ Case Reports secured ALPS Award (UK). e-Letters (profmnaim) on published-researches were published in, Journal of Clinical Pathology, jcp.bmjjournals.com/letters; Case Reports.bmj.com/letters (Recent eLetters); and British Medical Journal (Rapid Responses) - bmj.com.
