Dr. Ruquiya Afrose: A Leading Light in Pathology and Education

Dr. Ruquiya Afrose, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital, Aligarh Muslim University, has emerged as a trailblazer in her field. With a stellar academic record and a passion for research, Dr. Afrose has made significant contributions to the field of pathology.

Dr. Afrose's impressive credentials include an M.D. in Pathology from University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital, Delhi, and an M.B.B.S. from King George's Medical University, Lucknow. She has been a faculty member at AMU since 2012 and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2017.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Afrose has published 34 papers, including 11 original articles, 22 case reports, and one book chapter. She has presented papers at numerous conferences and has guided 14 thesis.

Dr. Afrose's achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Scroll of Honour Award by International Association of Lions Clubs and The Amrita Bishnoi Award for emerging best young teacher.

Currently, Dr. Afrose is leading an international research project funded by AAA-TX Houston, USA, and is co-Principal Investigator of two ICMR-funded Clinical Trials and a cancer registry by ICMR.
