Women prisoners constitute the focus area of research. Has rich experience of conducting empirical research on the women inmates of Tihar Jail, New Delhi and Aligarh District Jail, Aligarh. Contributed a good number of research papers in leading journals such as International Journal of Criminal Justice Sciences (IJCJS), Indian Police Journal (IPJ), Indian Journal of Human Rights and the Law, etc. and chapters in edited books. Has authored a book on women undertrial prisoners entitled 'Women and Bail'?.
