Dr. MOID RASHEEDI (Abdul Moid), is an India-based poet and scholar writing in Urdu. He did his Master's from Jawaharlal Nehru University, M.Phil from the University of Delhi, and Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University in self-guidance as a teacher candidate. He served in electronic media for three years in All India Radio / DD Urdu, Delhi Station, and also worked in the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (Urdu Bhawan, New Delhi) as Research Assistant. His work in Urdu literary criticism has incorporated a range of modern poetics. He started writing from his school days. He has seven titles to his credit. He is the recipient of Sajjad Zaheer & Razia Sajjad Zaheer Merit Award for his academic excellence by Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2010 and Sahitya Akademi Yuva Pruskar by Sahitya Akademi (National Academy of Letters, New Delhi,2013) for his contribution to art and literature. Besides Urdu, he knows Hindi, English, Bengali, and Persian. Takhleeq, Takh-eel aur Isteara, collection of essays in Urdu is an in-depth investigation into the conventional and modernist perspectives on critical practice. He revisited Wahshat Kalkatvi in his debut book. He has discovered Momin Khan Momin in modern perspectives. His poetry has been appreciated in India and abroad. His collection of Ghazals has been published by the Rekhta Foundation in Urdu (Aakhri Kinaare Par) as well as Hindi (Ishq).
