Dr. Mohd. Khalaeequz Zaman has his doctorate in Urdu literature from Aligarh Muslim University. A keen student of the historical development of Urdu language, his research explored the tradition of “Islah-e-Zabaan” in Urdu language. His areas of interest include Language and Linguistics, Literary Criticism, History of Urdu Language, etc., among others.  Dr. Zaman began his teaching career from  Urdu Section, Womens’ College Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, where apart from teaching, he was involved in a number of administrative activities. Afterwards, he has been teaching at the Department of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has written three(3) books and many articles in journals of academic repute.
