UGC - MMTTC (erstwhile HRDC originally Academic Staff College)

Introduction

Established in 1987

UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at AMU is one of the 47 ASCs established in 1987 in Universities all over India. It was transformed into an HRDC (Human Resource Development Centre) in 2015. Presently it one of the 150 MMTTCs and 66 erstwhile HRDCs of the country.

Since its inception it has been holding a high rank. A Review conducted by the UGC for the period 2014 to 2019 graded the UGC HRDC AMU AS THE TOP SECOND HIGH PERFORMER OF THE COUNTRY.

It conducts courses for the newly appointed University/College teachers for their orientation towards national values and training in the latest developments of their subjects by engaging experts and resource persons from the academia and industry.

The Centre has trained more than 30000 University/College Teachers from all over the country so far.
