Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning
Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning
Established in 1984
The Centre for Skill Development and
Career Planning was initially established
to impart vocational skill training to the female students of A.M.U. and later
extended to ex-students, external students and home makers. The Centre for Skill Development and
Career Planning was created to help women
realize their potential and to make them independent.
The Centre has adopted the
scheme of Earn While You Learn since the last 37 years. This
scheme was launched to motivate the students and its successful implementation
has not only created enthusiasm about joining a skill programme but has also
developed awareness and motivation among female students for their achievements
and success.
The Centre provides
opportunity to underprivileged women who can join these skill development
courses. The centre endeavours to provide knowledge and skill to underpriviledged women by organizing various Crash Courses in computer literacy, Textile
Designing, Beauty Treatment, Flower Making and English Fluency Development. Workshops, Orientation and Awareness Programmes are
conducted regularly at the centre.
This centre is a growing organization
working steadily in the direction of women’s empowerment.
