The country faces a demand-supply mismatch, as the economy needs a more skilled workforce. The fashion industry is a demanding and fast-paced world. A number of career objectives for modern fashion students with different choices are available in India and abroad. Fashion designers sketch and design clothing and collections. Designers may work independently or for boutiques, manufacturing and other Fashion retailers. Designers who are self-employed may also be marketing their own line of clothing. To accelerate the career objectives for modern fashion students and the growing demand of the Fashion industry the B. Voc. program in Fashion Designing & Garment Technology has been started at University Women's Polytechnic under Community College since 2014. It is providing excellent training, in-depth knowledge and field exposure to the students so that they can be absorbed in some big enterprises of India and the world.
