Production Technology Section

Aligarh is known for its industries of Locks, Hardware, Sanitary fitting and Zinc Die Casting. Aligarh is the birthplace of Zinc Die casting. Besides these, there are a vast number of plastic processing industries at Aligarh.

Aligarh is a city of traditional artisans having traditional skills in Die making, Mould making, Lock fitting, Pattern making, Sand casting, Die casting, chrome plating, Nickel plating and electroplating etc. Still, there is a shortage of skilled manpower in Tool rooms of almost all industries of the NCR region including Aligarh.

The B. Voc in Production Technology (Tool & Die) is designed to impart skills to the students, so that they may be able to Design and Develop all types of Dies and Moulds. They may be able to handle the work of tool rooms and various manufacturing departments of any industry.

After passing out the product of the course will be absorbed in the tool rooms and other areas of manufacturing industries in NCR region and Aligarh and they may also establish their own small scale industries.

Moreover, by providing technical know-how the skills of local artisans will improve greatly. It will also improve the productivity and growth of industries at Aligarh and nearby areas. Courses offered at Production Technology Section
