Computer Lab:

The Department of Electronics Engg. has well maintained Computer Laboratory with more than Thirty-Two computers with high-end servers and workstations. The lab is open to faculty members, Ph.D., P.G., and U.G. students of the department. It is also networked with the central computing facility of the university. The lab is equipped with the following important design/simulation software

  3. Visual Prolog
  4. Keil
  5. ADS
  6. Exata 
  7. OrCad
  8. Vivado
  9. Cadance
  10. Print Logger
  11. Microsoft Office


The software is licensed, and the Department follows a standard procedure of procurement and usage in line with the Central Purchase Policy of the University.

The Lab is used for teaching/learning computer programming, design, and simulation to UG/PG students and Research Scholars.

It also provides a training platform for Research and Development activities. This Lab has also been used for holding workshops and training programs.

All students of this Department can use the lab facilities during all working hours. (Except during the lab class time). 

The students of the department are provided free colour print facilities (approx. 40 pages per student per month).


Seminar Library

Timing: All-time during office hours ( lunchtime 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm)

The Department of Electronics Engg has a well-furnished seminar library with approximately twenty-three hundred books, two hundred forty-one project reports, two hundred eight dissertations of M. Tech, and five hundred ninety-two B. tech reports.

The following procedure is followed for issuing books and reports.

  1. Books/ project reports/dissertations are issued to the students on the recommendation of the teaching staff and the details are recorded in the register.
  2. Students may also get the books for a few hours issued on the valid ID card and the entry for this is registered.
  3. This register has a record of the student’s name, book number, time of issue, time of return, and signature.

Roles and Responsibilities of the librarian

  1. To maintain the discipline in the seminar library.

  2. To assist the students in proper usage of the resources.

  3. To keep the record of boos issued.

  4. To collect the issued books in time.

  5. To ensure that the books are properly arranged in their respective place.



Procedure for applying for Duplicate Marksheet

1.      Duplicate Marksheet may not ordinarily be issued within two months of the issue of the original marksheet.

2.      A fee of Rs. 50/- shall be charged for the issue of every duplicate marksheet.

3.      A separate application shall be required to be submitted for the issue of duplicate marksheet for separate examination years.

4.      The duplicate marksheet will ordinarily be issued within a week of submitting the application completed in all respects.

5.      The University will not be responsible for the delay in issuing the marksheet due to wrong information or incomplete details furnished by the applicant.

6.      The application for the issue of duplicate marksheet shall not be entertained without a certificate from the Provost that the candidate has already been issued his / her original marksheet.

Procedure for applying for Degree/Diploma/Certificate

1.      The candidate has to fill the form given below.

2.      Clearance certificate Nos. a, b, c (also d in case of M.Phil,/Ph.D.) signed and rubber-stamped.

     a. Clearance from the Provost/ Principal/ A.F.O. (Students) concerned

            b. Clearance from the DFO/AFO (Advance)

            c. Clearance from the SeminarLib./Book Bank

            d. Clearance from the Maulana Azad Library

3.      An attested photocopy of the exam. for which the Degree/Diploma/Certificate is required and applied for is enclosed.

4.      Postage stamps worth Rs. 60/- with 3 self-addressed slips of 5x3 cms size enclosed. OR An authority letter on a separate sheet, as per the proforma, has been given to the authorized person. OR The candidate will collect the document personally.

5.      An attested photocopy of H.S./SSC (Class X) certificate, marksheet is enclosed.

6.      The Degree/Diploma/Certificate will be handed over only either to the candidate or his/her authorized representative holding a permanent position in AMU, on the production of documentary proof of identity, or will be sent by registered post to the address mentioned in the relevant column, (if three self-addressed slips of size 5x3 cms with postage stamps worth Rs. 60/- kept in a small envelope, are submitted along with the application form).

Procedure for applying for Transcript of Consolidated Marks/ Grades

1.        Fill the form given below. Self-attested photocopies of all the certificates with mark sheets of the exams of each year should be enclosed with the form.

2.        Original Cash Receipt for Rs. 200/- shall be deposited in State Bank of India, A.M.U. Branch code No. 0555, Aligarh or bank draft payable to Finance Officer, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

3.        If the transcript is to be sent to an institution abroad, the following are also required:

(a)     The relevant brochure and letter from the institution in the original.

(b)     Envelope with requisite postal stamps addressed to the concerned institution/ person.

Procedure for applying for Transfer/ Migration Certificate

1.      Fill the form for the Migration Certificate

2.      Bank Challan /DD of Rs. 50/- is attached

3.      Photograph of the candidate pasted and signed across

4.      Photograph of the candidate attested as required and seal affixed

5.      The candidate has signed at the end of the form.

6.      Get Clearance certificates against Nos. a, b, c, e, f also d in case of M.Phil./Ph.D.) signed and stamped.

            a. Clearance from the Dean/the Principal concerned

            b. Clearance from the Proctor

            c. Clearance from the Provost concerned

            d. Clearance from the DFO/AFO (Advance)

            e. Clearance from the SeminarLib./Book Bank

            f. Clearance from the Maulana Azad Library

7.      Postage stamps worth Rs.40/- with 3 self-addressed slips of 9x4 cms. size enclosed.

8.      An attested photocopy of SSC/HS certificate enclosed.

9.      A photocopy of the certificate of marks of the last exam. (or notification in case of Ph.D./M.Phil Scholars) enclosed.

The migration certificate will be handed over only either to the candidate or his/her authorized representative holding a permanent position in AMU, on the production of documentary proof of identity, or will be sent by registered post to the address mentioned in the relevant column. (If postage stamps worth Rs.40/- with three self-addressed slips of 9x4 cms. size is enclosed.)

Procedure for applying for Provisional Certificate

1.      Fill the form for Provisional Certificate.

2.      Get Certificate of Identification signed by the Dean/the Chairman and seal affixed.

3.      Get Clearance certificates against Nos. 1,2,3,4  signed and stamped.

            1. Clearance from the Provost/ Principal/ A.F.O. (Students) concerned

            2. Clearance from the DFO/AFO (Advance)

            3. Clearance from the SeminarLib./Book Bank

            4. Clearance from the Maulana Azad Library

4.      A photocopy of marksheet of the exam should be enclosed with the form.

5.      Postage stamps worth Rs. 40/- with 3 self-addressed slips of 5x3 cms size should be enclosed.

6.      The Provisional Certificate will be handed over only either to the candidate or his/her authorized representative holding a permanent position in AMU, on the production of documentary proof of identity, or will be sent by registered post to the address mentioned in the relevant column, (if three self-addressed slips of size 5x3 cms with postage stamps worth Rs. 40/- kept in a small envelope, are submitted along with the application form). The Pro-forma for authority letter is attached in the form given below. The particulars of the authorized person should be mentioned in the Pro-forma and attested by the Head of the department.

Procedure for applying for Re-evaluation of answer book

1.      Fill the form for Re-evaluation of the answer booklet given below.

2.      Bank Challan /DD of Rs. 300/-  for each paper should reach the office of the controller of exams within 10 days after the issue of the mark sheet.

3.      A separate application form is required to be filled for each paper re-evaluation.

4.      Candidates applying for re-evaluation shall have to surrender their original mark sheet and photocopy of mark sheet with other separate applications.
