The A.M.U. Geographical
Society A.M.U. Geographical Society initially known as The Cursion Geographical
Society was formed in 1925 under the presidentship of Major E. W. Dawn. since
its inception the society has been vibrant to create academic and literary
interest among the students through organizes various academic, literary &
cultural activities. The A.M.U. Geographical Society also publishes its
Bi-annual Journal “The Geographer” as its organ, under the aegis of Department
of Geography. The first issue of The Geographer was published in 1926. The
Journal entertains the Research papers from recent development in Geography
pertaining to the issues of Environment, Social, Urban, Population, Regional
and Agriculture. The Geographical Society constitutes President, Coordinator,
Co- Coordinators and Office bearer from the Postgraduate Students. The Office
Bearers are selected on the basis of elocution contest for one academic
session.
