K. A. Nizami Centre for Quranic Studies

The Centre is newly established and will focus on the following fields of study:

* providing instruction in the reading of the Quran (nazira)

* providing facilities for instruction in the recitation of the Quran (tajwid) according to different methods of the qiraat

* providing classes for memorizing the Quran (hifz)

* encouraging research in the field of tafsir, particularly with regard to Quranic commentaries produced in India

* imparting instruction in the art of calligraphy

* utilising modern ICT facilities in imparting instructions on Quran and its Sciences
