The computer lab timings are Mon-Sat (Except Friday) 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 3:00-4:00 pm. On Friday 10:00 am - 12 noon.
Legal Aid Clinic
Legal aid mainly means providing free legal aid services for free to the needy or the poor section of the society. In the light of the mandate of the Bar Council of India for legal education, the Legal Aid Committee of the AMU Centre Jangipur Murshidabad has collaborated with Legal Services authority, Behrampore with aim to engage and develop projects and activities for the protection and promotion of the rights of the needy. The activities of the Legal Aid Committee includes free legal counselling to poor section of locality, dissemination of legal literacy and knowledge to the society; and conduct legal awareness camps; visits to prison, courts and juvenile homes; village adoption and organising relevant conferences and seminars and to organize legal literacy Camp on regular basis in form of Nukkad Natak.
Moot Court
Mooting is a form of an Oral proceeding similar to that of a court proceeding practiced mainly in institutions and universities where law as a subject is taught to see that how efficient a student is in putting an argument based on law. In this a proper court scenario is shaped where the students act like the Councilors (Advocates) presenting each side (Plaintiff and Defendant) on the basis of evidences and substantive questions of law argue with each other to prove their point in front of the judge who in the end will give his judgment in the same regard and will also declare the winner who has performed the best.
The Moot Court Committee is constituted for the purpose of conducting Moot Court competition at various levels. An intra-faculty Moot Court competition is organised every year in memory of Justice Mahmood. The Moot Court Committee also coordinate with other institutions for participation of students of the department of Law of the AMU Centre Murshidabad various Moot Court competitions. The committee ensures effective participation of students of centre in National Moot Court competitions.
