PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PEO1.The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University’s continual emphasis on research at the individual as well as institutional level stems from the recognition that learning happens only when existing notions are put through critical lens.

PEO2.The research opportunities for students take the form of mandatory writing done by them as part of the curriculum. The requirement is flexible enough to allow for pursuit of individual research interests, thereby incorporating trans-disciplinarily and diversity. Student participation in external academic for as is encouraged and facilitated.

PEO3.The development of research in niche areas is facilitated through specializations in emerging areas of legal studies.  It allows research scholars to pursue specific interests further, while at the same time creating a rich and diverse resource base in the intended areas.
