Programme Educational Objective (PEOs)

Students shall receive a strong foundation in the law and its origins, meanings and limits while also having a global perspective on ethical lawyering in a transnational community.

The thrust of the programme is to inculcate an ability to think like a lawyer which shall equip students for productive careers as advocates, and judges; as business persons; as elected public servants, and as researchers, teachers, and philosophers of the law.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

PO1. To acquire and apply legal knowledge to the complex socio-legal problems.

PO2. To make students eligible to practice law in courts and industry.

PO3. To engender professional skills required for legal practice such as argument, pleading, drafting, conveyancing etc.

PO4.To conduct themselves with the highest professional ethics standards    in legal profession

PO5.To develop skills in legal research, legal reasoning and aptitude, and apply it during the programme and profession.

PO6.To develop legal temper and recognize the socio-legal needs in life-long learning. 

PO7.To foster analytical and analogical legal research in the broadest context of changing legal environment.

PO8.To provide a platform of employability and self-reliant professional skills in legal industry. 

PO9.To inculcate leadership qualities amongst students to empower them to become harbinger of positive social change.

PO10.To make abreast of constitutional, legislative and social    transformation to develop clinical abilities.

PO11.To imbibe legal education, professional advocacy, problem solving   and public interest lawyering/social action litigation in legal study and research.
