PROGRAM OUTCOME FOR MD MEDICINE STUDENTS

An M.D Medicine postgraduate is expected to practice the following:
Altruism - the practice of selfless concern for the well-being of others
Ethics – ethical decision making should be a cornerstone of his practice
Medical Knowledge - the knowledge necessary for medical practice and skills to expand understanding
Skill - the ability to perform skills needed for medical practice, analyze results of tests, solve clinical problems, and communicate solutions to multiple audiences
A bird’s eye view of health care in general- a holistic view of healthcare system that would be beneficial to both individual patients as well as the population as a whole
Medical Research – Ability to retrieve & analyze biomedical information from appropriate resources and utilize it within a quantitative and statistical framework to solve clinical problems and make decisions

1. Creation of Infectious Disease Department and if possible, a full-fledged hospital for Infectious Diseases.

2. Critical care and Cardiovascular Interventions.

3. Research in Metabolic Disorders.
