Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Statistics is one of the best choices among students to choose as their career. The students may have different opportunities in the field of industry, marketing, economics, biology, public health, sports etc. as a statistician or a data analysts. This bachelor program is a pre-requisite for other Master's degree programs like M.Sc. (Statistics), M.Sc. (Data Science), Master in Computer Applications (MCA) etc.
Statistics as a subject at the graduate level is one of the best choices among students. The aim of the B.Sc. (Statistics) program to introduce students to the basic theoretical and applied aspects of statistics and develop an interest among them. The curriculum is designed as per UGC guidelines to give them detailed knowledge of descriptive statistics, applied statistics, probability theory, sampling theory, statistical inference, design of experiment, and their applications in real-life situations. Students also get the training of handling different statistical software for analysis of data.
After successful completion of the course
· Students will be able to understand basic theoretical and applied concepts of statistics.
· Students will be able to communicate key statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
· Students will gain proficiency in using statistical software for data analysis.
