The Department of Wildlife Sciences gets approximately 4.5 lakhs annual grant for its functioning under various heads of account such Contingencies, Field Tour, Books & Journals, Salim Ali Memorial Lecture, Research & Developement from the Aligarh Muslim University which receives its grants and funds from the University Grants Commission. The teaching faculty of the Department of Wildlife Sciences aggressively make bid for research funding from various national and international agencies and amount of such funding varies from year to year depending upon sanction of funds by various agencies.
