Dr Manazir Athar is presently working as Assistant Professor in Anaesthesiology, J.N. Medical College, AMU, Aligarh since 2017. He has completed his MBBS and M.D. (Anaesthesiology) from JNMC, AMU, Aligarh. He obtained the degree of DNB from NBE, New Delhi and Diplomate of European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (DESAIC), Brussels. He has been conferred with Fellowship in perioperative Echocardiography (FIECHO) from International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (U.K). 
He has a teaching experience of more than 10 years with a particular interest in cardiac anaesthesia and research methodology. He is actively involved in the management of difficult airway, critical care, POCUS and resuscitation. He got short term training in cardiac anaesthesia from AIIMS (New Delhi). He is also an instructor for the Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support course of Indian Resuscitation Council.

He has numerous National & International papers and book chapters to his credit. He has been invited as faculty in more than 50 national and international conferences and workshops. He has been conferred with various awards for the best paper, including co-author of the Article that received Y.G Bhojraj award for 2016. He is an active member of different academic bodies including ISA, NAMS, AIDAA, ISSP and TSS. Currently, he is Assistant Editor of Indian Journal of Anaesthesia (IJA)- supplement and member of editorial and reviewer board in various journals such as JCVA, IJPN, CJISA, etc. He is also founder coordinator for NPTEL-Swayam (MOOC) J.N. Medical College Branch.
