Dr. Khan started his teaching career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Mohammed Ali Jauhar University, Rampur (U.P.) in the year 2016. After completing a year in the university, he joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce and Business Management at Integral University, Lucknow and taught there for a year before joining his alma-mater as an Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the year 2018. Since then, Dr. Khan is teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Department of Commerce, AMU, Aligarh. 

Along-with his duties as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Khan is also serving an administrative responsibility in capacity of a warden, Sir Ziauddin Hall, AMU, Aligarh. Also, he is a member of Board of Studies, Department of Commerce, AMU.

His research areas include Entrepreneurship, Venture Creation, Small Business Management and Entrepreneurial Intentions. Furthermore, he handles the official Social Media Channels like Instagram and LinkedIn, of the Department of Commerce. During the era of Covid-19 he organised various online 'e-learning' workshops and FDPs for the faculty members and Colloquium & other Programs for the students also.
