Dr. Mohd. Shamim Ansari, Ph.D., is Professor in the Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), UP, India. He has over 21 years experience of teaching and research in the area of banking and finance. Dr. Ansari has to his credit over 30 research papers and one book. He has also presented over two dozen papers in national and international conferences and seminars in different parts of the country. Dr. Ansari has also successfully completed a major research project entitle, “The Plight of Women Bidi Workers in Bundelkhand Region", funded by ICCSR, Government of India. He is also presently working on the second project, “Design and Analysis of Novel Portfolio Selection Models to Optimize on Risk Using Evolutionary Optimization Methods” also Funded by ICSSR, New Delhi (In Progress) as a co-project director. He has also successfully guided four doctoral Ph.D. scholars, 20 M.Phil students and about 60 PG Dissertations. He is had also conducted training programmes for various organizations in the country. He is also member of editorial board and reviewer of different reputed journals.
