Dr. Hafizur Rahman holds a Ph. D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India with 35 years of teaching coupled with 5 years' field experience and meaningful research exposure. Currently, he is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Aligarh Muslim University (A prestigious central government university in India).During extra ordinary leave from Aligarh Muslim University for 5 years; He has worked as an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering, King Khalid University, Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has to his credit several research papers published in international journals and presented at national and international conferences. He was also engaged in a research project on Simultaneous AC- DC Power Transmission sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Presently his research interests include HVDC, FACTS, especially on new concept of bulk electric power transmission by Simultaneous AC-DC Power Transmission System.
