Dr. Rashid Aziz Faridi is a Professor in the Department of Geography at Aligarh Muslim University. He has 24 years of teaching and research experience. His areas of interest are, Sustainable Urban Settlement Systems, Urban Development,  Urban Modelling, and Urban Design, Migration, Diaspora, Population and Demographic Studies, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Geopolitics of Urban Systems. He has several publications in National and International journals. Dr. Faridi holds Ph.D., M. Phil, M.Sc, and B.Sc(Hons.) degrees from Aligarh Muslim University and Certificate courses from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS, Dehra Dun). He has authored a book on Select Cities of North India. He is also active in online learning of Geography as an Educational Blogger. He runs an Educational Blog (https://rashidfaridi.com) with 5 Million Views. He also runs an educational YouTube channel (Jugraphia With Rashid Faridi)  with   82000 views.
