Dr.Syed Naushad Ahmad is a professor in the Department of Geography, A.M.U. Aligarh. He specializes in the field of Regional Development and Planning, Environmental Geography and Food Security. Prof. Ahmad has a very bright academic record throughout his carrier achieving first division consistently from High School to Post Graduate level. At research level, he qualified UGC NET with JRF in 1986. He got an opportunity to teach in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for three years. He was Vice-Chancellor's nominee as subject expert of geography in general selection committee at Patna University. Prof. Ahmad is also actively engaged in research. Ten Ph.Ds and three M.Phils have been awarded under his supervision. Prof. Ahmad has contributed many papers in reputed journals and authored one book. He has attended and presented his research papers in various National and International Conferences.
