Myself, Dr. Meraj Ahmad, Professor in Department of Hindi, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Before joining duties in AMU I have served as lecturer in Dept of Hindi, Jamia MilliaIslamia, New Delhi for one and half year and department of hindi in two government colleges affiliated Rajasthan College Education for three years.Iam teaching graduate and post graduate students in department of hindi, A.M.U. Aligarh, in addition to this I also have research experience of more than 12 year and I am engaged in guiding students for their doctoral degree. So far three students have completed their Ph.D and presently four students are pursuing Ph.D under my supervision. I have published several research paper, articles, book reviews and more than twenty five short stories in reputed hindi journal and magazines i.e. Vangmaya, Abhinav Bharti, Tewar, Samay Majra, Talash, Hastkshep, Naya Gyanoday, Swadhinta, Sanchetna, Pashyanti, Samarlok, Vartmaan Sahitya etc. I have written two books and one novel which is coming soon and also edited Abhinav Bharti , research journal of hindi department , A.M.U. Aligarh. My research area is mainly in fiction related to Bharat Vibhajan (Partition of India) and also contemporary fiction and fiction writing and my teaching interest is Hindi Fiction and Hindi Bhasha.
