Dr. Ved Prakash, Professor, Department of Hindi, has completed his higher education (Graduation, Post Graduation, and Ph.D. with NET/JRF) from the University of Delhi, New Delhi. He joined Aligarh Muslim University on 13th October 1997 as a lecturer in the Department of Hindi. With 23 years of teaching experience, Prof. Ved Prakash is actively involved in research also. His areas of research interest include Modern Hindi Poetry, Literary Criticism, and the prose of Harishankar Parsai. His research work on 'Akavita' is the only research work on post 60s Hindi poetry in the context of the Nehruvian era. His series of articles on short stories of the noted Hindi writer Harishankar Parsai has been published in the reputed journal 'Pragatisheel Vasudha'. He has published more than 40 research papers and articles in reputed journals. He has attended more than 30 seminars/conferences and presented papers. Four books (including two edited) have been published to his credit. He has edited a special issue of the Faculty of Arts Research Journal (on postcolonial theory and literature) and the Department of Hindi research journal Ábhinavbharati' (on Amritlal Nagar). Prof. Ved Prakash has delivered lectures as a resource person/special invitee in various seminars and courses. He is associated with the National Institute of Open Schooling (Ministry of education) as a member of the curriculum committee, editorial board, and MOOCs program

          Prof. Ved Prakash has received Acharya Parshuram Chaturvedi Alochana Samman in 2007 by Nagari Pracharini Sabha, Ballia.
