Dr. Lubna Irfan is an Assistant Professor at Dept. of History, AMU. Her
Ph.D is on the topic, ‘Secular Public Utility Buildings of North India
(1200-1750 AD)’ . Her areas of interest are history of art and architecture,
popular history, socio-cultural history and gender history. She has
participated in a number of National and International conferences and has a
number of publications to her credit. Her recent paper 'Nature of Slavery and
Servitude in Mughal India’ has been published in the journal South Asia History
and Culture (2022). She participated in International Conferences at University
of Utah, US; University of Winchester, England; Central European University,
Budapest/Vienna; European University, St. Petersburg, Russia and Humboldt
University, Berlin. She also actively contributes to online web portals in an
attempt to take history to the masses. In her association with India Heritage
Walks she has contributed significant write ups to their Virtual walk series.
