I was awarded M.Phil. degree in 1996 and PhD Degree in 2000 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. In 1999 I have joined the University services as a Teacher in the Department of History and became a Senior Lecturer in 2003. In 2008 I have been promoted to Reader and thereafter as Associate Professor and finally as Professor. Since my appointment, I have published 48 research papers/ articles. Since 1992 I have been attending Seminars/ conferences, national and international and presented papers on various aspects of my specializations. Recently I have been awarded Major Research Project by the Indian Council of Historical Research entitled "Mughal Sub Imperial Monuments at Agra: A Study in Space Organization, Architecture and Building Technology" for two years. I have already completed a Minor Research Project entitled "An Archaeological Study of the Pre-Modern Monuments in and around Gwalior", 2017, Funded by CAS, Department of History, A.M.U., Aligarh. Besides above mentioned ongoing Projects, I have already completed a number of the following Projects and their reports were published in the Archaeological Bulletins of the Department.
1. "A Study of Mughal Lesser Known Monuments at Agra" (2009-2012) Major Research Project funded by UGC.
2. "An Archaeological Study of the Remains of Chandrawati, Capital city of PARMAR RAJPUTS" 2008-2009, funded by CAS, Department of History, A.M.U., Aligarh.
3. "An Archaeological Study of Pre-Modern Monuments at Ajmer" 2002-2004, funded by CAS, Department of History, A.M.U., Aligarh.
4. "Pre-Modern Hydraulic Structures in the region of Shaikhawati" 2001-2002, funded by CAS, Department of History, A.M.U., Aligarh. 5. "A Study of Medieval monuments at Bari, Dholpur" 2000-2001, funded by CAS, Department of History, A.M.U., Aligarh.
