Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Bari is Associate Professor in the Department of History, Center of Advanced Study(CAS), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh(UP) and specializes in ancient history and archaeology. Dr. Bari was previously working with Central University of Karnataka, Pune University and Kashmir University 

He is a recipient of the Nicholas Lowick Memorial Fund, Royal Numismatic Society for his research work at the British Museum and Ashmolean Museum. He has also visited Iran, Sri Lanka and Thailand related to the academic activities. He has numerous publications in national and international journals of repute in areas of his research interests. He has authored a book titled ‘‘Material Life of Northern India (c.600 BCE-300 BCE)’. He has also in his credit three edited volumes entitled ' Emperors, Saints and People: Revisiting Deccan History’ , ‘Enduring Civilizational Encounter: A study of Indo Iranian Relations’ and ‘Deccan: Culture, Heritage and Archaeology’.
