Dr. Farasha has been teaching at Department of Industrial Chemistry, AMU since 2023. She has also been Assistant Professor of Chemistry at INC, AMU, Aligarh during 2021-2022. After Schooling from Delhi Public School (DPS) Chhattisgarh, She did her B.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry with a Gold Medal in 2009 and M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry (Second Topper) in 2011 both from AMU, Aligarh. She qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) with 98.8 percentile in 2012 and also qualified CSIR UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) in 2011 with AIR 74. After completing her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2017 with emphasis on Designing Materials for Advanced Functional Applications, She moved to IIT Kanpur. She has done Institute Post Doctoral Fellowship from IIT Kanpur on Metal Organic Framework based Nano Materials and their Applications in Material Science under the Mentorship of Prof. J. N. Moorthy (Bhatnagar Awardee, Currently, Director IISER Thiruvananthapuram). After this, She was selected in National Post Doctoral Fellowship (SERB) and completed it under the same mentor from IIT Kanpur (2018-2021). She has outstanding Research track with High quality publications (More than 20) like in Inorganic Chemistry (ACS), ACS Applied Nano Mat., Advanced Materials Int (Wiley) (2022), J. Mat Chem. C (RSC), Dalton Trans (RSC), CrystEngComm (RSC) etc. to her credit. Her research interest falls under the category of MOF based Nano materials and their functional applications. Her paper Dalton Trans has been Selected as Inorganic Chemistry HOT Article Themed Issue and many of her papers have got high Citations in reputed journals. She also has Book Chapters and presented in Many National and International Conferences. With high enthusiasm in Science, She got 100 out of 100 marks in Science in Matriculation and was awarded for it. She has many Fellowships and Awards to her credit.  She has Expertise in Instrumental Techniques and Interpretation like SEM, TEM, AFM, XPS, ICP AES, TGA, SC XRD, PXRD, NMR and DLS.
