Dr. Shahab Ali Asghar Nami

Dr. Shahab Ali Asghar Nami obtained his Master's and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry during the year 2002 and 2005, respectively, from the Department of Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Before joining the Department of Chemistry as Associate Professor, Dr. Nami worked as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Department of Kulliyat, Faculty of Unani Medicine, A.M.U., Aligarh, for twelve years. Dr. Nami also served as Senior Lecturer, Taylor's University, Malaysia and Adjunct Lecturer, School of Biomedical Sciences, The University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Nami's area of interest includes Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, and Material Sciences. Dr. Nami has published more than 70 research articles in leading international journals like Journal of Material Chemistry A & C, Polyhedron, Spectrochimica Acta A, Inorganica Chimica Acta, Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, Polymer for Advanced Technologies, Polymer Composites etc.  Dr. Nami has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dongguk University, South Korea. Dr. Nami has also visited the University of Pecs, Hungary, under the Indo-Hungarian Educational Exchange Program 2013-14, Government of India, U.G.C., from 18 March to 17 April 2014. Besides, Dr. Nami has also served in various university administrative positions like Elected Member, Academic Council, Assistant Proctor, Superintendent of Examinations, Scrutinizer, Tabulator etc. from time to time. Presently, Dr. Nami is serving as Chairman, Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India.
