Dr. Faisal K.P is working as Director (officiating) of AMU Centre, Malappuram. He has been working in the Department of Law as Assistant Professor (Sociology) since the inception of the Centre. Before joining the Centre, he taught sociology in the department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University, Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Hamdard University, New Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has received his doctoral degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi from Centre for Study of Social System. He was selected for Multinational Institute of American Studies (MIAS fellowship) and completed the course on U.S. Culture and Society at New York University in 2017. He has presented at various national/international seminars and published articles in journals and books. His research works engage with the contemporary sociological and anthropological theories of religion and culture. His ares of interests includes sociology of education, law and society in India, marginalization and inclusive policies. Apart from his academic activities, Dr. Faisal has been associated with several professional bodies and voluntary organizations committed to research works and social action.
