I, Dr. Hashmat Ali Khan, have been working as a Professor in the Department of Law, AMU, Aligarh with a teaching experience of more than 19 years and Research Experience of more than 16 years. I have submitted Ph.D. in Personal Law on the Relevance of Mahr in Contemporary Society: A Socio-Legal Study. My areas of research interest are Criminal Law, Family Law, Procedural Laws & Indian Contracts, etc. I have published around Thirty-Seven Articles/Research Papers in various Journals of National/International repute like Indian Journal of Law Review, Lucknow, Civil and Military Law Journal, New Delhi, Aligarh Law Journal, Aligarh, Quest for Justice, etc. I have participated in and presented numerous papers in National/ International Seminars/Conferences/Workshops. I have supervised Thirty-Eight LL.M Dissertations and successfully guided 6 research scholars to awarding of their Ph.D. Degree. I  am currently supervising nine Ph.D. Scholars. I have been organizing Various Camps/ Lectures/ Workshops relating to Legal Literacy and Mass Awareness Programme as in charge in the remote areas of the District Aligarh since 2002 till date. Moreover, I am also discharging the responsibility of Assistant Superintendent (Examination) in the Faculty of Law, AMU. I have also been In-charge of Legal Training Programmes conducted by Faculty to impart Legal Training to the students of BALLB at the District, High Court, and Supreme Court of India. I have been guiding the students for appearing in different Moot-Court competitions, Legal Debates, and Extra Mural Lectures. I have also worked in the administration of the University in different capacities like Warden, Assistant Proctor, Deputy Proctor, Coordinator of the Coaching & Guidance Center, and Associate MIC Gas Agencies of AMU. I have also been elected member of the Aligarh Muslim University Teaching Association and member of the highest Governing body AMU, Court Presently I am working as a Provost of B.R Ambedkar Hall and Deputy Proctor of Aligarh Muslim University and also holding a membership of AMU Academic Council and AMU Court by virtue of being Senior Provost.
