Prof. (Dr). Mohammad Tariq is a keen researcher and seasoned teacher having special acquaintance in Jurisprudence, Labour law, Constitutional Law, Human rights and Gender studies having a teaching experience of more than twenty years. At present, he is working as Professor in the Department of Law, A.M.U. (A Central University) Aligarh (U.P.) He is totally committed to researchwriting and administrative works. He has published four books namely; 1. Labour Welfare and Dr. Ambedkar’s Vision 2. Human rights; health and related issues, 3. Human rights; issues & challenges, 4. Dimensions of Public Interest Litigation  and working on other book on Administration of wage system. More than forty Research Papers/Articles in leading journals and periodicals are in his credit. There are twenty one Research Scholars including those who’s Ph.D. has been awarded and those pursuing research under the supervision, he has supervised more-than seventy Dissertations in the discipline of Law. He is Member Peer Team & Assessor, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore.

Prof. Mohammad Tariq has received four awards namely AMP’s National Award for Excellence in Education 2021 and 2022 for exemplary work in the field of education, 'Shikshavidh' (Educationist) Award and ‘Utthan Award’ in the field of Legal Education & Legal Awareness. He is an Editor of Aligarh Law Journal since 2014-15 sessions. He has organized more than twenty five seminars, conferences, moot courts and other National and International events. He has delivered more than fifty Lectures as a Resource Person in different institutions of national and international repute. He has participated and presented research papers in more than sixty seminars/ conferences/ workshop/ colloquium etc. He has been engaged with National Commission for Women (NCW) New Delhi, as an Expert for Scrutiny of Proposals received for conducting seminar/research studies and evaluation of Studies/Research already carried out.

Prof. Tariq has successfully completed University Grant Commission sponsored Project and also played the role of Observer in Examinations conducted by various agencies like National Testing Agency, CBSE, and various Universities. For almost six years, he had successfully discharged his duties as Coordinator of Indira Gandhi National Open University. As a Coordinator/Observer/Incharge he has successfully conducted entrance examinations for various courses like LLM, Ph.D. etc.  He has also participated in discussions/comments/debates on various T.V. channels and Radio Programmes and acted as Judge/Jury member in various programmes at the national as well as international level. He is also associated with various Public Service Commissions like Union Public Service Commission Delhi, Kerala Public Service Commission, Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Bihar Public Service Commission, etc. in different capacities. He is Examiner in the panel of various Universities for the Examination/ Evaluation purposes. He is a prolific writer, academician to the core, prodigious administrator and scholar in his own right.
