Qualifications: M.Sc, M.Phil., Ph.D. (Ento), and has done a number of Diplomas/Certificates in Museology such as Certificate Course in Indian Art & Culture from NMI, New Delhi, Certificate Course in Art and Appreciation of Objects in Museums from National Museum Institute, New Delhi. Certificate Course on Conservation of Museum Material from National Archives, New Delhi. Research and Teaching Interest: Preservation & Conservation of Artefacts with special reference to Natural History Specimens. Management and Control Measures of deterioration in Museums. Archives and Libraries. Project: Biodeterioration of Objects of Organic Nature in Museums, Archives and Libraries (Causes, Prevention, and Control Measures) under Major Research Projects of U.G.C., New Delhi from 2007 to 2010. Research interest/Focus area: General Museology, Biodeterioration, Preservation, and Conservation of objects of organic and Inorganic origin in museums, archives, and libraries (causes, preventions and control measures). Articles published: Several papers have been published in National/International Journals. Published a book and contributed several chapters in many books. Conferences/ Seminars: Attended: Several conferences, Seminar, and Workshops of National and International level. And also chaired many sessions of National and International conferences and seminars etc. Nomination: Nominated to act as a member of an expert committee to review the functioning of National Museum Institute (Deemed University) Janpath, New Delhi fixed on 08-09 Feb 2010. Awards: Awarded Rashtriya Gaurav Award in 2012 and Best Citizen of India Award in 2013. Elected as Executive member of Aligarh Muslim University Teachers Association. Former Joint Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Teachers Association (AMUTA) and former member of the Academic Council of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, etc. Appointed as the member-in-charge AMU Gas Agency from 2015 to 2018 Elected Vice-President of Museum Association of India for 2018-19 and 2919-20.
