Having completed her education from K.V.S school and higher education from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Dr Afroz Bano is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. She has a rich teaching experience that spans close to two decades. She started her career as a Trained Graduate Teacher on 30th August 2003 in AMU City School. This stint lasted for 14 years. Her desire to aspire for the best and her fervour for excellence paved way for her appointment as Post Graduate Teacher in STS School, Aligarh Muslim University.

She has successfully organised and supervised B.Ed. Teacher Training Programmes in the AMU City School for 7 years. Because of her keen interest in the field of testing and evaluation, she was assigned the responsibilities of Assistant Superintendent of Examinations for 5 years. She has also worked as the Coordinator of the School Syllabi Committee equipping her with the know-how of the school curriculum design and development.
