Born in a small town in Western Odisha, Dr. Himanshu Shekhar Acharya has a brilliant academic record with first class through out and first positions in order of merit in B.A.(Hons), M.A. and M.Phil.. After completing his post-graduation in G.M. College (now a University), Sambalpur, Orissa, he studied M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Pondicherry Central University. He has the teaching experience of 31 years. He has published 24 Research papers, Articles and one book. Under his supervision, 10 Ph.D. and 01 M.Phil. degrees have been awarded. At present, 08 students are continuing their Ph.D. research. He has attended 24 National and International Conferences. He has completed a research project sponsored by Indian Council of Historical Research New Delhi.
