Imtiaz Ahmed is presently serving as Guest Faculty at the Department of West Asian and North African Studies. Before this, he served as a Senior Research Fellow in the same department. His Ph.D. thesis is on "Yemeni Diaspora in India." He has an extensive track record of presenting and publishing research papers on Yemen, migration, cultural integration, and geopolitics at national and international forums. (UK, US, Canada, Spain)
In addition to his academic pursuits, He gained practical experience by interning on a project related to India-Africa relations in Malawi, Africa. During this internship, he actively engaged with the Indian community in Africa. Furthermore, he held the honorary position of President of the West Asian Studies Society at Aligarh Muslim University, India. Apart from his academic, he served as Residential Warden, Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall. AMU.
In July, 2023, he had the privilege of presenting his paper at the Gulf Research Centre at the University of Cambridge, UK, where he discussed the "Role of GCC in the Yemeni civil war and the future of GCC as an institution."
