PROFILE
Dr.S.M.Umair is working as a Senior Technical Support in Medicinal Chemistry lab and Unani compound drug formulation lab (Murakkabat) of Department of Ilmul Advia, Faculty of Unani Medicine since 2010, Having a Two year experience as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a project entitled Chemical analysis and preparation of SOPs of kushtajat prepared by Conventional as well as Modern methods funded by Central Council of Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) ,Department of AYUSH ,Govt. of India. His main areas of interest and expertise are Calcination and prepration of Herbo-mineral and Herbo-metallic unani drugs (Kushtasazi or Taklees), Compound formulations of Unani drugs (Murakkabat), Nanoconversion of Herbo-metallic drugs using Electrochemical colloidal technique, Unani treatment of Diabetes and related complications and Diet and Food therapy of ailments.
PATENTS AND PUBLICATIONS
Dr. Syed Mohammad Umair published several research papers in national and international journals. He applied two provisional patents with Indian Patent Office in 2020-21.
